The AMAZING Spencers

v. a·mazed, a·maz·ing, a·maz·es
Something that is so wonderful, it is hard to find the words to match. Something that makes your heart beat faster or your heart melt. Something that tops everything else, and always crosses your mind.
The word amazing can not even begin to describe the Spencers and the perfect afternoon we spent together. What a treat it was to photograph this gorgeous, FUN and spontaneous family that was so at ease in front of the camera. I have to admit, I had butterflies going into this shoot even though Sam is a friend of mine. She and her husband are amazing artists/photographers themselves!
P.S. If you are wondering where these gorgeous umbrellas came from, check out Jodell and her umbrellas are about the loveliest pairing in Seattle.

Your work is A R T and would be just incredible even without the amazing umbrellas. They were like the icing on the cake. I am so happy for you to have been able to shoot such a beautiful family!

Ms. Lowe

When a friend of mine asked me to take a few pictures of her dear Mother In Law I had no idea what an amazing woman I was about to meet! I should have because I LOVE my friend (yes you Cynthia), but really, Ellen is one of a kind. Still working at the age of 80 years young! Ellen had just enough time to meet with me after a full day of presenting a grant that she had finished just hours before. We spent the afternoon chatting about growing up in Seattle, how much everything has changed and watching the sun set over Golden Gardens. It was a good day.

Funny thing about photographers, they don’t always have a lot of pictures of themselves. So a few other Seattle photogs I know decided it was time to fix that problem and pose for each other. I can’t believe how nervous I was to be on the other side of the lens! You are ALL SO BRAVE. After a few minutes we loosened up and had a ball. Here are some of the shots (and outtakes) I captured. Check out their sites too 🙂,,
